Project Details
The Pulse Amsterdam (currently in construction phase) will create a new and vibrant section of the Zuidas precinct in Amsterdam. The development unites an urban forest with a state-of-the-art office tower, modern residential building and public facilities including cafés, restaurants, cinema and supermarket. ZIP Screen systems with high-reflective metalized fabrics installed at an inclination up to 25 degrees. Automated control with user override using SMI digital motors, BUSbar cabling with motor and building control systems.
An integrated shading solution was required for the complete Pulse development by integrating blinds, smart motors and control systems. An all inclusive approach developed at the design stage reduced both cabling and installation costs, whist providing a more sustainable and cost effective solution. Occupants will benefit from smart automated shading with regulated indoor climate conditions. The result will be a more sustainable energy efficient building, reducing the need for air-conditioning usage and costs.
