VASATEC introduces the New FCU-S-MOD (S to XXL) for SMI Motors – A Future-Proof, Cost-Effective Solution for Building Automation.
We are proud to announce the launch of our latest innovation, the FCU-S-MOD (S to XXL), an advanced system designed to work seamlessly with up to 80 AC SMI motors (Standard Motor Interface – powered by Vestamatic).
The technologically advanced solution comes pre-assembled and pre-commissioned, featuring serial ID’s of motors already implemented, providing businesses with a hassle-free installation and immediate operation. The system allows for the limiting and overriding of settings via the BUS, making it ideal for industrial applications that require precision control and ease of integration.
Key Features of the FCU-S-MOD
Support for Up to 80 AC SMI Motors:
Accommodates up to 80 motors – flexibility for large-scale operations.
Delivered Pre-Assembled and Pre-Commissioned:
Significantly reducing installation time and effort. Each motor is already implemented with serial ID’s, ensuring quick and reliable setup.
BUS Overriding and Limiting:

Compatibility with SMI Motors:

BUSbar Technology with Plug-in Capability:
The system is compatible with BUSbar technology, using plugs on motors for simplified wiring and reduced installation complexity. It supports leading connection technologies, including Wieland, Wago, and Woertz.
Centralised Power Distribution:
The system integrates a centralised power distribution, optimising energy usage and providing a more efficient solution for large setups and with installation.
Parallel Wiring of Motors:
The FCU-S-MOD supports parallel wiring of motors, reducing costs by streamlining the wiring process.
Future-Proof Design:
The solution is designed for longevity, with connectivity to future technologies. It supports communication protocols like KNX, Modbus, and BACnet, ensuring it remains compatible with evolving smart building standards.
U-MOD Connectivity:
In addition to its current features, the FCU-S-MOD (S to XXL) is fully connectable to the U-MOD system, allowing for further customisation and scalability.
